Update 4/14/26
Metronet / T-Fiber installation work is continuing in Stonebridge, but some residents have noticed restoration issues and incomplete work areas.
We have inspected the area around Doral Drive and nearby streets. Some of the conditions residents are seeing are related to a separate DTE cable replacement project that began several weeks ago and affects approximately 150 homes. That project appears to have slowed down, which may be contributing to the appearance of unfinished work in some locations.
At the same time, the Metronet / T-Fiber project is underway and will ultimately connect approximately 640 homes in Stonebridge, so there is some overlap between the two projects in certain areas.
To reduce confusion and avoid having multiple utility projects occurring in the same area at the same time, SCA has suggested that Metronet temporarily focus work in areas outside of the current DTE project zone.
As a reminder, Metronet has committed to restore lawns and disturbed areas after installation. If you see specific restoration issues, unsafe conditions, or damage concerns, please report them directly to Metronet:

Dear Stonebridge Resident,
Last summer Stonebridge was approached by Metronet with a proposal to install optical fiber in our neighborhood. Since that time, Metronet has been merged into T-Fiber, a part of T-Mobile. During the fall and winter, SCA, Stonebridge Community Association, gained approval for the installation from ten neighborhood associations. The Ponds had Metronet installed last summer. SCA requested that the installation be done in the spring, so that lawns would recover quickly from the vehicle tracks and digging.
The installation is now underway, starting in the middle on St Andrews Ct, Doral Dr and Stonebridge Dr N. Protective conduit is being installed first by horizontal drilling at about 18 inches deep, with junction boxes flush with the ground at every other house. The boxes are very similar to the valve boxes on residential irrigation systems. Optical fiber will later be pulled through the completed conduit.
Metronet is committed to restore all areas that will be worked on. They are providing flags to mark your sprinkle heads, dog fences, etc. If you have any issues with restoration, they have a supervisor on site who can provide the flags and address any issues. You can also call the number below or go to the website below to submit a claim or inquiry.

Once the fiber is installed, individual homeowners may subscribe to the T-Fiber service. Subscribing is OPTIONAL. Optical fiber offers a significant advantage in data speed, but it has a limitation in that cable TV is not offered. Program content will need to be purchased separately from streaming services. We all recently received flyers from T-Fiber. Feel free to explore their website.
Welcome to the Future,
SCA Fiber Committee
